If you didn't know, APL is a programming language developed by Kenneth Iverson in the 60s and implemented in IBM. It is known for being concise, having arrays as first-class citizens and having non-ASCII symbols for its core functionality (primitives). Primitives can be applied on arguments of arbitrary dimensions.
